How are you all doing? Life is just great here in the mission! This past week I got transferred to LaceySpanish! I am still to be district leader, and will be followup training the dopest missionary ever here.
My new companion is Elder Garcia, who is an awesome missionary from Texas. He grew up speaking Spanish, so I am getting lots of help from him. We haven't been together long, but I can already tell he is an awesome guy.
The area is huge, and covers two stakes, which means lots of Spanish work to be done. This also means we are going to be speaking Spanish almost 100% of the time. I am so pumped!
I got here Tuesday to find out that we had 15+ appointments scheduled for the week and two different sets of investigators ready for baptism, and hopefully a lot more than that if Elder Garcia and I have anything to say about it. We are very excited to be serving together. Can't wait to have a lot of success in this new area. Leaving Shelton was hard, but I know that it was the Lord's will, and that it was time to leave. I've made friends there that will last into the eternities.
Zach especially, made me a promise right before I left. That he would get his patriarchal blessing, and that he would get Aerie, his newly wed wife to the temple with him, to be sealed for time and eternity. It was one of the most sacred moments of my mission, to be able to look into his eyes as he said that. I am so excited for that family. They will have this Gospel with them forever! This past sunday, I was able to confer upon him the Aaronic Priesthood, and this Sunday he will be baptizing Emily, his 8 year old step daughter. From start to finish, it was an incredible experience, and I will be grateful forever for it. Through the atonement of Jesus Christ, not only were we able to change Zach's life for the better, but I know that he changed mine. I sure do love that guy!
Well, I send you all my best. I am excited to continue to serve the Lord with all my heart might mind and strength. We'll send you another update soon, but it won't be on Monday as usual. Check this next Wednesday. (We are having a mission tour, and a general authority is coming to the mission, so our p day has been postponed.)
Les amo,
Elder hakalalakakala
