Dear Fam,

Strange News. I'm called to be the District Leader for half of the Elma Zone. I also am going to be companions for the first time with an Elder who is younger than I am. Now I really do feel old. His name is Elder Martin, and I'll have to send you pics as soon as I can.

Other news... Tasha is still progressing, and so is Maria, a woman that we are planning on teaching lesson two on wednesday.

At this point we've knocked out a decent chunk of Shelton, and we're still going strong, as is the rain. I don't mind it though. Just another simple reminder that I AM LEGEND. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. AND I FEAR NO MAN. (Or any bad weather)

We moved a fish tank this week, and I'm pretty sure we killed the guy's 800 dollars worth of Oscar fishies. they were pretty agressive though, so I dont feel too bad. they sealed their own doom.

We also helped his mother move around five hundred pounds of food storage no joke. The cans were pretty rusty. Good thing I got my tetanus shot!

The Bishop of our ward, Bishop Nadeau, is pretty awesome. For a guy his height, he's a spiritual giant! He's an inspiration to us missionaries, and I can honestly say I've never seen anyone be so motivated for ward missionary work. The bishop is the thing that can either make or break a mission. We are so lucky to have him. He's taught us so much.

We made zone t-shirts this morning. #Yeti. #Gozone. #Baptizeconverts!

I'm still translating for spanish sacrament meeting, or trying to anyway. And as far as language study goes, I keeping progressing, pero lo puede estar dificil por mucho tiempo. We also knocked out the spanish apartments in our area, which was fun.

Well, all things considered, this has been my favorite transfer so far. things are finally starting to level out for me mentally, emotionally and even physically in the mission field, which is extremely good news. I finally feel like I am starting to serve the Lord to my fullest and best capacity. I can honestly say that I love missionary work! (I think thats a good sign, haha :) )

P.S. We are teaching a UBC named Cyrus. He's eleven, and a cute funny samoan kid. He's actually related to Tasha, believe it or not! He should be baptized really soon, so we are excited. His dog is absolutely evil, though. He charged us and almost torn my companion and I to bits.

Well, hope this week was good to y'all. keep the letters comin.'

Did Goose ever get his package?

Sincerely,
Elder Hakala
